RON RESEIGH

Ron's interest in theatre organ was sparked by his father, Gary Reseigh, playing at the Roaring 20s Pizza in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Ron began his organ studies as a pre-teen and was soon playing overtures and intermissions at the Redford Theatre in Detroit.  After entering and winning various competitions for young organists, he won first prize in the Young Organist Competition at the ATOS National Convention in San Francisco. Now in his mid 20s, he has been a featured soloist at later ATOS conventions and pizza parlor venues. Currently he works at writing in the pop music vein.

John is at home on a classical or theatrical pipe organ. He is known for his award-winning improvisational skills, his musical versatility, and his ability to excite and engage audiences of every kind.  He is also one of those rare people who is as comfortable repairing, tuning, and voicing pipe organs as he is playing them.  Even in a hectic schedule, Dr. Schwandt can be found tuning organs or in the shop working with the staff and students.  This will be his first program for DTOS.  John's program will be widely varied with both classical and theatre music and may include a short silent film.

In the less formal mood of our summer concert, Michael Lundy's concert will be like an evening in a friend's living room listening to familiar music ranging from light classics to nostalgic TV themes. Michael attended Dickinson High School and was a very active member of DTOS.  He has played concerts for many local groups and for ATOS chapters in PA and MD.  Lessons in classical organ led to jobs as church organist starting in junior high school.  Michael now lives in Brooklyn, NY and is musical director of a large church in the New York area.  This concert will be like a homecoming.  You can read more about Michael by visiting his website at www.michaelxavierlundy.com .
